She earned a Bachelor of Music in World Cultures with minors in piano performance and global studies in 2023 and a Master of Arts in Music Education in 2025 from Liberty University. Joy is classically trained in piano, voice, and violin, but she enjoys world music, jazz, musical theater, and popular music as much as classical music. Bach, Chopin, and MacDowell are some of her favorite composers. Arabic, Portuguese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Bahasa Indonesian songs hold a special place in her repertoire. Joy also enjoys contemporary music from artists such as Alec Benjamin, Cody Fry, and TAYA. She has accompanied in contemporary and classical styles.
Joy believes that music is a gift that is to be shared. She enjoys learning music from various cultures and using music to connect with and learn from others.
